The romantically situated ruins of the former Ratzlburg Castle offer a glimpse into the past, when the rich family of the “Rohrers“ ruled the area. The ruins date back to the 12th century and various valuable items, such as a bronze dragon, have been found on the site. Boards explain the site’s history to interested visitors.
Apart from its archeological interest, the site offers a marvelous view across the Inn river to the neighboring Bavaria.
